Insight Global is seeking a Splicing and Activation Project Manager to join one of our clients in a long term contract opportunity. In this role, you will be supporting a telecom fiber deployment initiative by providing guidance to field teams with regard to splicing and activation for fiber to the home deployments. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of ISP, OSP, and Premise fiber cabling and strong knowledge of disturbed split FTTH architecture testing. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Oversee splicing and activation of redlined FTTH deployments
- Review and approve OTDR and OLTS test data from splicers and coordinate repairs as required to meet TIA568 specifications and client design criteria
- Organize all splicing pictures and testing data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Current of prior fiber deployment experience
- Working/hands-on knowledge of FTTH materials and activation
- Excellent database and excel skills
- Background in splicing and has since moved into a supervisory role – QA/QC position
Working knowledge of ISP, OSP, and Premise Fiber cabling and a strong knowledge of distributed split FTTH architecture testing
