ADP Resources LLC is a specialized consulting and design firm based in Dallas, OR. We offer outside plant engineering, CAD/GIS design and permit services for customers in the telecommunication industry. We are looking to add 2 positions to our Drafting Department.
This position can be performed remotely, however you must be a resident and located in a state that we are set up to conduct payroll in including Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Washington state, North Carolina or Colorado.
Note: The employer will conduct a 5-panel drug screening and a criminal history background check as part of the hiring process.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independent of daily supervision. This person is a communicator, a person able to multi-task, change directives quickly, They will be detailed and organized with the ability to follow-through and have a willingness to learn and become self-reliant.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and eighteen (18) years of age
1-year full time, recent experience (within the last 3-years) using Autodesk AutoCAD, professional experience preferred, but AutoCAD training from a school that provides certification will be considered.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) and database programs.
Willingness to work a varying schedule at times, to meet the needs of the position, occasional (evening/weekend work may be required).
Preferred (not required):
Experience working in client proprietary software/other drafting and GIS
Experience within the telecommunication/utility industry and outside plant design
Knowledge and experience working with telecom or utility industries
Right of way permit and/or traffic control plan experience
Job Duties:
Draft new and revise existing, aerial and underground plant facilities based on field and design information provided.
Create detailed drawings as required of MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) schematics, trenching details, road/bridge crossings, and detail schematics
Plan and schedule projects with other departments and drafters
Read and interpret utility engineering drawings and plans to draft communications networks
Enter, access, retrieve data and send emails using computer and company software
Use basic mathematical skills and calculation ability
Use a variety of databases, (including customer databases) and web applications that provide facility assignment records and other engineering and project related information, (Google Earth/Maps, etc.)
Review maps and drawings of projects to help verify quality of data
Communicate effectively on issues and correct and collaborate as needed regarding work
