Directional Driller Operator and Locator in Calgary

This position is for HDD Driller. We are looking for individuals who also have class 5 drivers licenses and are comfortable with pulling a trailer. Telecom experience needed. We are looking for experienced drillers and locators. A successful candidate should be willing to work out of town on occasionally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drilling Ditch Witch Horizontal Directional Drill and/or locating
• Daily reporting of activities
• Maintenance and inspections of equipment
• Driver logs and trip inspections
• Labour as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation
• Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment (manhole covers, cable reels)
• Self-disciplined, physically fit, motivated and organized
• Willingness to work overtime, scope of work requirements, etc.

• Valid clean driver’s license with drivers abstract
• Valid tickets
• Ground Disturbance (ABCGA – Alberta Common Ground Alliance, Supervisor level 2

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
