JR. NETWORK ENGINEER

Job Description:

Critical Hub Network, Inc. is seeking talented individuals that is highly motivated and eager to launch their career in the IT industry. This role begins with an on-site training program designed to test and sharpen your technical abilities, develop strong professional skills, and familiarize you on the technologies you will be working with in the field. As a Network Engineer, you will be working on Internet Service Provider infrastructure and security projects to help assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware and software to ensure an uptime of company provided services.

Upon successful completion of training, you will have a better understanding in areas like virtual and physical network infrastructure, network security, application delivery, and cloud network services. Network engineers are expected to solve technical challenges, document solutions, resolve technical faults, and allocate resources to deliver solutions for the client.

Duties:

• Installation, management and administration of Critical Hub’s communications network. Including the LAN, WAN, MPLS, AND SONET environments.
• Implementation of network hardware, including routers, switches, VOIP equipment, security appliances, etc.
• Supports SSL, VPN, Firewall and network switches.
• Monitors system performance and analyzes workload, including traffic and utilization trends.
• Designs, implements and monitors integration solutions between Critical Hub and client networks.
• Analyzes network security and threats, as well as, remediates LAN and WAN vulnerabilities by the use of industry leading tools.
• Researches, tests, evaluates, and recommends telecommunications and data network systems.
• Seeks continual performance improvements within a highly secure enviroment to the network.
• Provide Tier 2 customer support and help the Technical Support department’s operations
• Configuration and administration of network hardware and software
• Diagnose network issues
• Provide support to our network and field technicians
• Monitor network status and provide reports
• Remains current on IP and security products, standards and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company

Requirements:

• Relevant work experience in a similar position or industrial attachment
• A good grasp of the IP protocol and IP routing protocols
• Attention to detail and strong ability to detect network issues quickly
• Capacity to work independently or with little supervision
• Organizational aptitudes and the capacity to organize workload
• Bilingual- Spanish and English
• Some experience managing CISCO or Juniper Router and Switches

Education:

Bachelor’s degree on Computer Science or related field
