Responsibilities for Network Administrator- Hybrid work environment:
Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and performs various network administration activities with all computer networks within the organization and associated assemblies by performing the following duties:
Works under technical guidance of the Senior Network Engineer and Enterprise Infrastructure Manager.
Maintain network security and integrity.
Ensures network reliability through monitoring and daily management of network architecture.
Supports networks, communications, wiring, hardware, and software (including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals) by installing and troubleshooting as directed.
Handle end user support tickets by troubleshooting and resolving technical related problems. Engages management within and outside the department as necessary.
Evaluates network hardware and software infrastructure and makes recommendations to improve performance and reliability.
Executes network schedule, backups, and downtime.
Manages third-party maintenance and support by communicating with and coordinating network hardware, software, and telecommunications services as needed.
Maintain server room to be neat and orderly with proper labeling.
Maintains current knowledge of today’s networking and telecommunications field by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and utilizing other learning resources.
Backs up the Security Analyst position.
Provides guidance and mentoring for Service Desk Associates.
Requirements for Network Administrator- Hybrid work environment :
Associates degree in Computer Information systems AND/OR equivalent technical training and work experience.
2-3+ years of related experience is required.
Computer system hardware, peripheral setup and configuration experience is required.
Network router and switching equipment configuration experience is required.
Knowledge/Skills:
MUST be familiar with Microsoft Windows server operating systems and services.
Must be a result-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
