We are a full-service consulting engineering andconstruction observation/ testing firm involved in leading-edge engineeringsolutions for the latest cellular technology to meet the demands of majorcarriers and tower owners nationwide. The Telecom Project Engineer will beinvolved in all aspects of site design associated with engineeringtelecommunication wireless and wireline (fiber optic) projects.ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction documents using AutoCAD, engineering reports, anddetails on existing and proposed facilities including towers, water tanks,rooftops, billboards, and other supporting structures using the applicablebuilding and design codes.Investigate & coordinate existing subsurface utilities to plan and designfiber optic pathways to feed establishments.Facilitate wireline permitting work with the jurisdictionWork within a team-oriented environment to successfully complete projectswithin established budgets and deadlines.Conduct site visits to gather existing conditions data.Coordinate with in-house professionals and sub-consultants to complete allaspects of site design.Play an active role in building schedules, attending client meetings withthe manager, and meeting project goals.Track the progress of multiple ongoing projects.Occasionally the employee will need to access sites that include rooftopswhile lifting and/or moving equipment up to 25 pounds.Qualifications0-2 years of experience with civil or structural design.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.Must be proficient in AutoCAD.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must have solid problem-solving skills.Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.Must be able to travel to sites throughout the country.Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.Specific experience with Telecommunications projects or clients is a plus.Experience with Telecom Fiber Design (outside plant) is a plusExperience with Risa-3D is a plus.EIT with the ability and intent to gain a PE license in the future ispreferred.Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participationin the employer’s random drug and alcohol testing program.Salary Range: $66K-$70K DOQWhat We OfferAt Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most importantresource.
