Telecommunication Technician (Fixed wireless & Fiber-To-The-Home)

CONNEXTIONS LTD is looking to hire focused and dedicated individuals to be trained as Telecommunication Technicians representing one of Canada’s leading rural internet service providers – Fixed wireless internet & Fiber (Fibre to the home)

Service work areas we are hiring for primarily is Winnipeg, MB and surrounding area.

Full time Sub-contractor and In-house employee positions available.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair Fixed wireless internet, satellite internet and Fibre -To-The-Home internet services.
• Connect, troubleshoot, install/relocate ODU & IDU, interior and exterior wiring.
• Provide best in class customer experience.

• Identify customers’ needs, explain various products, and provide tutorials on equipment.

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Experience:

• Familiarity with hand and power tools an asset

• Physical fitness to carry 75Ib load and ability to work from heights in various weather conditions.

• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• A can-do professional attitude and customer service focus skills
• Previous experience with Shaw, Bell, MTS, Xplornet and other related cabling knowledge preferred but not necessary.

Position Requirements

• Minimum: High School diploma, post-secondary diploma preferred.

• Basic computer skills and understanding of common consumer electronic devices.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with insurable driver’s abstract.

• Will undergo a security background check.
• Ability to learn, follow process and pay attention to details is imperative.

• In-house employee position with company works van and gas available to qualified applicants.
• Subcontractor position required to provide their own work vehicle and tools – company vehicle option is available.

Compensation:

• Paid training allowance.

• Guaranteed minimum weekly compensation

• Piece rate option

• Quarterly performance bonus
