TELECOMMUNICATIONS FIELD TECHNICIAN – Oklahoma

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for qualified Telecommunication Field Technicians to join our team in Oklahoma, Texas. This position will support our network in the Scoop/Stack region, so we prefer our candidates to be located in or around Oklahoma City, OK.

This position will pay up to $28 per hour based on applicable experience. You will also be eligible for overtime!

As a Telecommunications Field Technician, your role will be to:

• Deliver exceptional customer experience while installing communications wireless networking equipment at new customer sites or performing service calls including site moves, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, test, and repair our customer facing network equipment.
• Make, repair, test and install RF network and telephone cabling to connect offices, housing and work areas to the network resources.
• Installing, pointing, and commissioning RF systems components such as LTE, wireless point to point or multipoint radios, VSAT or microwave systems
• Compile and evaluate data to determine and resolve onsite performance problems, network or equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and identify non-functioning equipment and repair or reconfigure or replace equipment, applying own knowledge and experience.
• Interact professionally with clients, property owners, contractors as needed. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in person or by phone.
• Maintain and present a professional appearance, calm and rational demeanor under stressful conditions.

What does it take to be a successful Telecommunications Field Technician?

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of previous experience in telecommunications, wireless, basic internet industry, and/or electrical, telephone utilities.
• 
  ComTrain Certification preferred
• 
  Military experience in a variety of communications or electronic systems preferred
• Proficiency in the use of applicable hand tools (e.g., RF signal level meters, multi-meters, cable testers, handheld applications, etc.)
• Experience installing, pointing, and commissioning RF systems components such as LTE, wireless point to point or multipoint radios, VSAT or microwave systems
• Familiarity with telecommunications systems and a variety of commercial and consumer communication devices (e.g., routers, modems, radios, and wireless devices)
• Ability to interpret and understand field sheet notes, schematics, maps, and drawings
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and the ability to be covered under insurance.
• Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment requirements (Background, MVR, Drug & Alcohol screen);
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and evenings
• Ability to work primarily outdoors in an oil and gas environment in remote locations and drive to and from different job sites – company vehicle provided.
• Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity, stand, walk, climb stairs, get in and out of a passenger truck multiple times a day, bend, kneel, sit for extended periods, and crouch.
• Ability to lift rig kit equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
