Position Summary
Supports the Network Design team by providing day-to-day support for projects. Overall responsibility includes providing solutions to create, track, maintain, and report on all CATV network architectures. Provide design & cost estimates for potential commercial and residential build projects.
What You’ll Do

  • Interacts with Project Coordinators in 14 systems, department heads, and Commercial sales project managers on the planning of all network designs required for construction, upgrades, extensions, and underground projects.
  • Aid in setup of all appropriate computer software needed for design and documentation of all plant.
  • Carryout conceptual designs and “what if” scenarios as requested by the engineering staff.
  • Reviews project information with Project Coordinators to determine accuracy and completeness of field work.
  • Reviews and evaluates existing networks to determine best solution for design changes.
  • Issues Bill of Materials of networks for projects.
  • Coordinates ROI approval process.
  • Maintains Project Database with accurate project information.
  • Issues completed projects after review.
  • Provides day-to-day coordination of projects related to the Drafting and Design group.

What You’ll Need

  • AAS degree or certification in a drafting technology.
  • AAS degree or certification in an equivalent electrical technical discipline (recommended).
  • Demonstrates operational knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD application.
  • Requires a minimum of three to four years of design experience, including use of Lode Data RF software.
  • Excellent technical communications and documentation skills.
  • Requires ability to function independent of supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management.
  • Individual must be able to perform each job responsibility at a proficient level.
