KeyStaff is currently hiring a Telecommunication Support Specialist to work with Manatee County, FL.

The Telecommunications Division is led by an IT Supervisor and is comprised of three Senior IT Specialists. The primary function of the division is to provide installation and field support of communications needs for all Board of County Commissioner Departments as well as the various Constitutional Offices. The team is responsible for approximately 4000 telephones/cellphones,
voicemail, instant messaging, call center and other systems which make up the unified communications portfolio. The installed systems process more than 5 million internal and external calls each year.

Telecommunications completes approximately 1500 requests annually for new service, repairs, relocations, and support the day-to-day operations (exclusive of specific capital projects).

What You Will Do

 Resolve incoming tickets daily
 Troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications portfolio including CUCM, UCCX, Unity,
Jabber, servers, routers, and gateways
 Experience with ancillary systems including voice recording, call accounting, and Active
Directory – LDS.
 Order, receive, configure, and deploy cellular devices to County employees.
 Participate in upgrades/patches for the UC Network.

Specific Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in two or more of the following fields: Network Services, Server Administration, Wireless Communications, Telecommunications.
  • Experience in helping people communicate through managing, designing, and implementing enterprise scale VoIP over IP network environments with a focus on voice and collaboration

technologies.

  • Provide high level operational support and receive escalations from teams to ensure final resolution on Voice & Collaboration related incidents.
  • Monitor Voice & Collaboration infrastructure capacity and performance to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of its systems and applications.
  • Lead/coordinate Voice & Collaboration infrastructure changes and upgrades.
  • Ensure full compliance on Corporate Change Management policies and procedures for Voice & Collaboration infrastructure.
  • Experience with ISDN, IP/SIP trunking, analog trunking & SBC deployments.

This position is required to report during County Emergency Activations and may be required to work holidays/weekends/evenings as directed by the ITS Director or his designee.
Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

  • Must obtain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Level 4 Security Awareness Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to pass a background check (including fingerprinting) before start date.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certifications IS-100 and IS-700 within six months from date of hire.
  • Recent programming and troubleshooting experience with the Cisco Unified Communications product portfolio, including CUCM, UCCX, Unity, Jabber, servers, routers, and gateways.
  • Recent experience with ancillary systems including voice recording, call accounting, and Active Directory – LDS.
  • Recent Experience with collaborative platforms such as Webex, Zoom or MS Teams.
  • Experience with wireless cellular communication devices and MDM applications, such as AirWatch or Microsoft Intune.

Schedules:

M-F 8am to 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $30.00- 36.00 (depending on skill level)
