Telecommunications Technician

  • Work with a Program Manager to scope existing equipment and site and document
  • Ability to use tools to punch down cables on 66 and 110 blocks with blades
  • General telecom experience to keep resources moving and scheduling to bring up telephone systems
  • Conduct meeting with customers remotely and attend weekly project status meetings remotely
  • Local to the DMV area; some local travel required
  • Coordination with third-party vendors for vendor meetings on-premises.
  • Provide support for testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and Go-Live support
  • Provide support for site installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing the installation site; and preparing as-built documentation inputs, as required.
  • Support voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features and functions; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; coordinating with contractors.
  • Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, devices, and associated integrations; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $57,297.00 per year
