Telecommunications Project Manager

Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Telecom Project Manager to join one of our clients in a direct hire opportunity. In this role, the project manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely, safe and cost effective construction of client transmission sites, towers, collocations, outside plant projects (coax, copper and fiber optic) and civil site development. The successful candidate must be able to operate under minimal supervision to coordinate with contractors, public utilities, equipment vendors, third parties, and internal departments to achieve project objectives. Additionally, the incumbent must be competent at the full scope of project management duties associated with the deployment of multi-service telecommunications networks. Position will report to the Construction manager and must be able to work in a team environment, working cross functionally within the operations organization.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent and relevant work/military experience
• 5+ years of telecommunications experience
• 5+ years of project management/coordination experience
• 5+ years of utility construction experience
• Strong business acumen/industry knowledge from an OSP management perspective
• Ability to interface and effectively communicate with high level internal/external personnel (coordinate across utilities, municipalities, business stakeholders, executive leadership, etc.)
• General understanding of data networking, including design, troubleshooting, and configuration of various wired and wireless network technologies, CATV systems and coaxial design and construction

Plusses:

• Project and / or construction management certification(s)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
