Responsibilities/ Duties /Tasks

Our subsidiary CS GmbH, located in Darmstadt, is looking for a Software Engineer. The key
person will be assigned to our backoffice integrated in the maintenance and the development
of several space systems for our customers. On-demand, the activity be performed onsite

at our customer’s premises at Darmstadt. The key person will integrate a team of software
engineers under the direction of the project manager in CS GmbH.

This activity includes, among others, the following tasks:

• Contribution to IT threat situation and protect from cyber-attacks.
• Develop company-wide guidelines and monitor compliance with them in IT.
• Advise on the assessment of IT risks and design tailor-made solutions.
• Support for questions about information security management and information risk management
• Support to R&D initiatives
• Software development and maintenance of space data systems and infrastructure setup
• Contribution to test and validation activities

Qualifications

Requirements:

Professional experience in the field of network and firewall administration as well as the
creation and implementation of security concepts

Academic Background:

• The Key person shall have M.Sc. in Computer Science Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer or equivalent with a focus on security.
• At least 3 year experience as software developer

Technical skills:

• Good knowledge with the standards and best practices in the areas of information security and risk management
• Sound knowledge in the areas of routing and switching, TCP/IP, routing protocols, application and content security, authentication, network security, proxies, anti-virus, network services DHCP and DNS
• Good knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems and the associated system services (Azure, Active Directory) and experience in the areas of Java and Powershell scripting as well as SAN networks
• Good knowledge in VMWare, GitLab and other development environment tools
• Good knowledge in the use and operation of Docker and container orchestration technologies
• knowledge in Unix/Linux/windows environments
• Knowledge in scripting language such as Python, bash
• knowledge in configuration management such as GIT

• Very good communication skills
• Proficiency in English language
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and different projects simultaneously
• Good organisation
• Ability to work autonomously in a challenging environment.
• Understand complex issues, quickly identify possible risks and derive targeted solutions
