Cable Technician

Description:

TEKsystems is looking for a solid Cable Technician for our client in the Baltimore, MD area! This technician will be supporting current team at a client from a MAC (move, add, change) perspective. This resource will be the SME for phone systems and ultimately the POTS and Copper lines. The majority of the infrastructure has/is moving to VOIP and this resource could help with some of that transition, but overall will be supporting the emergency and classified hardlines which will remain copper. They will be responding to trouble tickets on a daily basis and supporting the MAC team on other initiatives during down time.

If they have any fiber knowledge that is a bonus, but mainly copper work and willing to train up on the fiber. They are also open to green candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This is set for a long term contract but they have strong history of bringing people on perm.

This position will be at various client sites here in Linthicum and potentially additional sites in the DMV market.
