Reporting to the Vice President, The Mobile Shop, the Director, Sales Enablement will develop and lead a team dedicated to enabling the success of our in-field sales team across Canada. As a key member of The Mobile Shop (“TMS”) leadership team, the incumbent is a strategically-minded leader with a passion for sales who has strong communication, collaboration, analytical, negotiation and process improvement skills. The Director provides strategic and operational direction to ensure effective collaboration with key internal and external partners in support of driving sales growth, including but not limited to Carrier Partners, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Training and Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership to design and implement a strategic sales enablement plan that drives efficiencies, growth, sales team competencies and retention.
- Lead a diverse high-performance team to drive business results while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the sales plan and KPIs, current performance, and potential drivers of change. Recommends appropriate actions to enhance business performance.
- Responsible for overall engagement plans and programs to motivate and drive performance for the sales force, including recognition programs, incentives and contests.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external and internal vendors through proactive management and governance practices.
- Establish new partnerships as necessary; follow with negotiations as relevant.
- Lead the development and execution of the overall communication strategy and oversight of all internal communication channels for national sales force.
- Responsible for sales enablement budget and overall P&L accountability for department.
- Provide overall ad hoc sales and project support for the frontline sales teams.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience, within retail sales or related industry with a demonstrated ability to build, coach, lead and mentor diverse teams.
- Telecommunications experience is considered an asset.
- Post- secondary education in Business degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong business and financial competence, strategic vision combined with ability to “get it done”.
- Proven track record to effectively lead multiple outsourced partner relationships and negotiate successful outcomes for the business.
- Demonstrated ability to optimally handle many projects and priorities simultaneously and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as proven tenacity and persistence
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to link activities to the overall sales strategy and apply data to drive insight & decisions.
- Some travel may be required for in-store process reviews, meeting & event execution
