Telecom Service Installer

Telecom Service Installers are responsible for connecting fiber optic service FTTx using the supplied hardware, electronic devices, and materials, from the aerial or underground telecom utility location to the inside of the home or business. In addition, installers will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade existing fiber optic services. Telecom Service installers are dispatched to scheduled installation appointments to fully install service to the home or building, interact with residents and business owners according to established company standards and guidelines, and will provide written and electronic field assessments, meeting or exceeding Sertex standards. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position. Must be able to travel in the New England Region as well as stay overnight as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of installation procedures including but not limited to VoIP, POTS, cable, and data networks in residential and commercial applications.

Successful candidates must have residential or commercial installer experience and have a valid driver’s license with (3) years of safe driving history
