Junior Network Engineer

Nolij Consulting has an opening for Junior Network Engineer role at Washington DC.
Responsibilities:

• Must be able to provide technical support in the installation and maintenance of employer’s or customer’s Local Area Network (LAN).
• Must be able to assist in the evaluation of hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and telecommunications equipment.
• Must be able to install network hardware and software, including network operating systems.
• Must be able to monitor data communications to ensure that network is available to all users.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve routine problems.
• Should generally be responsible for maintaining a simple network of 25 or fewer nodes, or for a section of a larger network.
• Shall have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Is able to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Is able to work under immediate supervision and guidance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in related field

Education:

• Minimum AS/AA degree (or equivalent). May require certification as a network engineer

Note: Since this position is for a Federal Project, a candidate must possess US Citizenship to obtain Clearance.
