Responsibilities
You will work within the NDO team providing E2E Support from Design to deployment within Performance management, explaining KPI trends and impacts. You will be responsible for organising Network trials articulating the purpose both internally and externally, documenting proposals, including HLD/LLD, Lab test support, making sure changes get implemented, and monitoring and reporting performance. Findings will be documented and analysed and the results presented to the client at the management and technical level. Recommendations for Network Performance improvement will then be taken forward and implemented. As Senior NDO SME 4G/5G (NSA/SA) Lead you must have strong presentation skills and possess the ability to clearly explain Ericsson strategy, conclusions and recommendations for parameter changes and feature usage to drive RAN Performance improvement. You will also work closely with the Acceptance team to ensure that deployment activities are not compromised, and the other parts of the organisation are coordinated and aligned with any 4G related feature or parameter implementation into the Network
Technical Proficiencies

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of RAN 4G & 5G Design and Optimisation experience with Ericsson Radio products

Advanced understanding of RAN KPIs for performance monitoring, optimization techniques, features and processes of 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G technologies

Advanced understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G (NSA/SA) Air interface standards, protocols and propagation characteristics

Proven experience troubleshooting complex RAN site performance issues in a multivendor environment on RAN Swap and RAN Refresh projects (in a post-change verification/Post Performance Monitoring scenario) in order to achieve customer acceptance

Must have knowledge of Ericsson tools such as ENM (radio configuration), AMOS, FAST, ITK, log readers/tools (LNGTOOL), tracing capabilities, ability to view, decode and analyse CTR’s, interpret L3 messaging (UETR/CTR), Baseband tracing is a plus.

Also, is a plus to have knowledge of NDO Cognitive software modules.

Must have Ericsson RAN SW experience on Ericsson radio features and functionality – not limited to, CA, VOLTE, traffic management, parameter design and optimisation according to performance data for best quality networks

KPI understanding (K1/K2) and Swap box Acceptance knowledge are critical for this role as it will be required to support the Swap program following NPI/SI activities deployment.

Familiar with PDU and NDO Service Line worldwide and managing complex RAN Feature introduction initiatives to improve Network Performance

Able to prepare and present C-Level reports (emails/slide pack) from NPI / performance trials to internal/external senior management.

Prepared to travel throughout the UK
Academic Background
-
Degree Level / HND in Technical Discipline or Relevant Technical Experience within Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Domain experience: IT or Communication services
