Network Test Engineer (DOCSIS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Test Engineer (DOCSIS) in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO. Our client strives to connect their customers to superior communications and entertainment products with the highest quality service.

Summary:
In this role, the Network Test Engineer is responsible for testing and validation of Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and backend systems affecting CPE. This position requires a good understanding of DOCSIS and cable modem provisioning. The Network Test Engineer will be involved in Test Execution, documentation of Test Reports and troubleshooting field escalations. Additional areas of technical focus will be on TR-069, IPv6, Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Voice Services, IP routing, IP multicast, streaming video, and/or home networking.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP)
• Experience with automation, databases, scripting, and system administration is a plus
• Candidates qualifying for this position will have similar experience along with the skills and abilities to perform the duties mentioned
• Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
