Project Coordinator

Description:

As part of the Access & Aggregation Network team, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing connectivity requirements of Xplore’s Core and Access&Aggregation networks. This involves working with third party circuit providers, Build and Capacity teams in identifying new circuit or upgrade requirements and processing orders. What you will do (Team responsibilities): • Gathering and evaluating circuit requirements from Fibre/Wireless/Build teams and creation of circuit facility checks or inquiries • Evaluating circuit costs from third party circuit providers in relation to current and future requirements, and alternatives • Generating circuit orders using vendors’ portal and order forms, ensuring on-time service delivery • Reviewing/negotiating proposals and contracts with vendors • Supporting other Network teams in connectivity related requests and issues • Creating and maintaining circuit records and configurations including Quickbase Circuits database This position reports to the Team Lead, Carrier Relations (Access & Aggregation Network) in Markham, Ontario.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

What you need to succeed (Individual competencies): • Minimum 2 years of telecom experience in a service provider or network vendor environment • Knowledge of service provider Ethernet and Wavelength transport solutions including Ethernet Private Line (EPL) and Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) • Basic knowledge of Ethernet technologies, 5G/LTE and microwave backhaul systems • Knowledge of database systems such as Quickbase • Good written and verbal English communication • Good computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft products including Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel • Technologist Diploma or equivalent experience
