Telecommunications Technician

We are seeing a Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As part of our team, you will work directly with clients in installing, repairing and upgrading telecommunications technology and infrastructure. This may involve everything from traditional phone lines and fiber optics to wireless technology. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a commitment to learn new skills, seek solutions to customer problems and have discipline to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Candidate should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
• Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating and splicing cables.
• Installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors and cable trays.
• Verify services by testing circuits, equipment and alarms; and identifying, correcting and/or escalation problems.
• Maintains the network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network back-up procedures and updating documentation.
• Perform moves, adds and changes.
• Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
• Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards and legal regulations.

Work Environment:

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy/fax machines and smartphones.
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking and driving.
• Candidate must have valid drivers license as work is at various locations throught the state of Ohio.

Work Hours & Benefits:

• Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm
• Occasional overtime may be required
