Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Telecomm Specialist to join our Telecomm team. You will be responsible for optimizing voice networks by monitoring, evaluating, and tuning telecommunication systems, analyzing voice networks and recommends acquisition of equipment and telecom services to management, and managing relationships with telecom service providers.
This position will be based out of Epson America’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides on-site and remote end user support for Mitel desk and softphones
- Provides on-site and remote end user support for Epson mobile phones
- Provides on-site and remote end user support for Epson Zoom Rooms
- Orders and deploys Corporate Mobile Phones
- Conducts scheduled check outs & testing of Zoom Rooms
- Participates in Telecom On-Call Rotation
- Performs adds, moves and changes for Mitel phones
- Communicates effectively with end users
- Occasional participation in Telecom projects
- Updates and maintains Telecom documentation related to telephony adds, moves and changes
- Needs to be flexible as priorities change within Telecom, and critical issues may require specialist to shift focus
- Effectively utilize the Ivanti ticketing system to open, edit and close tickets
- Builds relationships with peers, other departments, and managers to best meet company goals and objectives
- Interfaces with other IT departments as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 6 years of experience in Telecommunications environments OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of Telecommunications experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Telecommunications network design, planning, and implementing scalable, highly available, mission critical Mitel telecommunications systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Mitel telecommunications and voicemail systems required.
- Certification in Mitel telecommunications and voicemail systems desired.
- Experience with Zoom and Zoom Room applications desired.
- Experience with AT&T mobile phone deployment, support and setup desired.
