Construction Inspector – Telecommunications

Overview:

Under the direction of a company supervisor, the Quality Control Technician (Field Inspector) performs work that involves visual inspection of telecommunications construction in areas around Bridgeport, CT. The Quality Control Technician (Field Inspector) will read and interpret utility maps and drawings as they pertain to completion of individual telecommunications projects. The Quality Control Technician (Field Inspector) may assist with communication between homeowners, subcontractors, and customers in a fast-paced environment. Good communication is key – both written and verbal. Telecom experience is a plus but not required-we will train the right individual.


Responsibilities
:

  • Interact with, subcontractors, local municipalities and homeowners
  • Prepare and distribute pre and post construction site documentation
  • Survey sites and provide information to clearance systems and supervisors
  • Assist in the preparation of red line prints and as-builds
  • Monitor and track completion of job sites
  • Work safely and as per policies as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable and able to work independently
  • Must possess a valid driver license
  • Must be able to read construction drawings and prints and verify production as reported
  • Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience with Excel, Google Docs, and Gmail a plus
  • Able to perform work which includes lifting, carrying, crouching, and walking long distances
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions in an outdoor environment
