We are currently seeking a remote IT Communications Technician for a possible contract to hire opportunity. The IT Cmmunications Technician will follow strategy and support communications technologies including devices, user experience improvements, and deployment.

The IT Communications Technician will have experience in enterprise environments managing tickets, and projects on mobility, phones, video conferencing, and user-based communication technologies. The IT Communications Technician will provide the support for all user-based communications technologies to improve our user’s experience and improve the supportability at the level 1 service desk and level 2. This person must have the ability to work on user services including telephony, mobile, video, and cell phone technologies.

May require occasional travel to customer locations and to help complete integrations for acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage ticket queues of L1 and L2 service desk incidents, requests, and major incidents
  • Communicate effectively with users.
  • Multi-task between requests and support from users and manager
  • Prioritize work and make decisions on important functions
  • Create, justify, and implement a short and long term strategy for items within the span of control for the position
  • Support and understand the standardization and processes to build, manage, and deploy cell phones, desk phones, tablets, and other user based devices using standards.
  • Work with server and network teams to understand challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Create and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Understand root cause analysis
  • Embrace a customer service mindset
  • Assist with the configuration, development and/or deployment of technical solutions
  • May participate in the implementation process or other steps of the product lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, or similar experience
  • Experience with multiple hardware types including video equipment, mobile technology, network technologies, and desktops
  • Experience with remote support technologies
  • Experience with desktop and mobile phone services
  • Experience with manage the user experience
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working large projects and rollouts of technology to a user base
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly driven and able to self-manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess organizational and time management skills to prioritize work

Some experience with the following technologies preferred: Cloud PBX, Five9, MS Teams, Zoom Phone and Pro, iOS, MDM, Ucaas/ZCaas and cloud-based technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
