The Telecommunications Specialist maintains, builds, and optimizes all Hunt Military Communities (HMC) communications systems, including Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and all related technology ecosystems, like hardware (computers, mobile devices), software (CRM, analytics), support, and training.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain maximum uptime and efficiency of HMC UCaaS system, 8×8
- Maintain 8×8 solutions, including office phones, contact center
- Work with 8×8 and others to build and develop new solutions
- Review and modify systems documentation, including call flowcharts, licensing, etc.
- Train administrators and support staff regarding communication systems
- Track HMC communications systems resources/usage/lifecycle and ensure renewal, replacement, or cost-saving measures
- Support mobile device management (MDM)
- Maintain cost allocations between HMC cost-centers
- Manage communications systems projects
- Resolve all assigned support tickets
- Monitor support trends via ticketing system and take proactive action
- All other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications

Associates degree required in Information Technology, Business, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Expertise in UCaaS communications systems, 8×8, RingCentral, or similar
- Familiarity with wireless communications and mobile device management (MDM)
- 4+ years IT administration experience
- Expertise in MS Office products, familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with project management and agile methodology
- Able to lead teams to divide administrative and support duties
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
