Data Center Technician

We’re currently in need of an experienced and ambitious Data Center Technician at our Pittock Block, Portland, OR location. This position reports to the Operations Manager and interconnects with all departments in the company. This person will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of cross connects, working with customers on smart hands tickets to resolve customer-related issues, and maintaining an optimally controlled environment for servers. This position requires on call availability for emergency situations.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of monitors, switches, routers and other technical equipment

• Troubleshooting skills to solve issues promptly

• Problem solving skills to provide solutions for any issues

• Good critical thinking skills and multitasking abilities

• Strong organization skills

• Exceptional level of customer service, professionalism and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Works well in a team environment, willing to share ideas, driven to improve processes

• Self motivated, completes tasks, interested in learning new ideas, embraces change, strives to achieve results

• Comfort level with technology tools, proficient in the complete suite of Microsoft Office products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
