Construction Manager
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage 5-7 crews in AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon projects
- Managing the day-to-day activities of each assigned crew
- Must be reliable – daily availability to each assigned crew will be required to provide support (in-person or remote)
- Areas of work include reading job build plans such as rigging plans, construction drawings, & RFDS
- Verify scope of work with each assigned crew prior to starting construction
- Verify materials with each assigned crew prior to starting construction
- Be readily available for tower owner pre-construction site walks with assigned crew
- Conduct random site visits for each assigned crew
- Submit daily updates to Director of Operations for each assigned crew
- Closely adheres to all safety standards and procedures. Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management
- Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
- Maintains proper care of Company assets and vehicles
- Analyze situations accurately and complete assigned course of action
- Effectively contributes to strong team environment through assisting team members in accomplishing goals, supporting and promoting team spirit and cooperation
- Demonstrates integrity, strong initiative, as well as a focus on quality of work and safety on a daily basis
- Willingness to take hands on approach in leading their team through demonstration
- Communicate with Director of Operations of construction progress, concerns and deviations from plans or established schedule.
- Ensure the quality control requirements are met with each assigned crew
- Provide leadership, guidance, and actively train/promote skills to assigned crews
- Train and assist crews in completing tasks
- May maintain and enforce all OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections prior to operation. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist
- Work with Director of Operations to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years + experience as a Construction Manager
- Must have experience running crews of 3 to 5 crews and solving team issues, crew scheduling, crew accountability, crew safety enforcement
- Knowledge of AT&T, RF wireless systems including RRH’s, antennas, Diplexers, TMA’s, Etc.
- General understanding of grounding system design, testing, and maintenance
- Must be able to travel
- Valid Driver’s License
- RF Trained
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
- CPR/First Aid
- Problem solve and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Ability to stay on task independently and work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of safety standard
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Must be able to adhere to random drug/alcohol screening
- Must have clear driving record
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
