CTS is looking for a passionate and self-directed Vice President of Vertical Sales, that is responsible for creating and executing our overall sales strategy and achieving the annual sales objectives for the company’s managed services businesses, including private wireless networks as a service. This is a key leadership position that will work closely with their Regional Sales peers and their colleagues in Product Management, Engineering and Operations. The ideal candidate will a proven track record of selling managed services directly to enterprise clients and leading a sales team in the industrial manufacturing, transportation, higher education, healthcare, commercial real estate and hospitality verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the overall sales strategy and process, create and track the appropriate metrics within the sales funnel, and ultimately own the revenue goals for the vertical segment.
- Develop and execute sales plan to meet or exceed annual sales quota (Revenue and Total Contract Value).
- Directly engage large enterprise organizations at the CIO and VP of IT level to successfully position and sell CTS’ as a service solutions.
- Lead a team of Vertical Sales Directors who are experts in their vertical(s) to maximize market penetration, awareness and revenues
- Ability to serve as the sales overlay for private wireless networks to channel and regional sales employees when they need support in their customer engagements.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, manage and lead an excellent team of sales professionals with industry vertical expertise to achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets.
- Develop a deep knowledge of how CTS’ managed service solutions meet the client/prospect’s use case.
- Independently build and manage your direct sales pipeline in assigned accounts and/or industry verticals.
- Coach sales professionals to penetrate accounts, captivate decision makers and overcome selling obstacles.
- Negotiate and resolve contract issues.
- Record all personal/ team activity utilizing CTS’ CRM software.
- Working with the HR Department, conduct formal annual reviews of all team members.
- Provide reporting as required (weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ annually).
Desired Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales forecast.
- 3 to 5 years of quota-carrying experience selling complex managed services solutions with a strong record of accomplishment in closing enterprise-level deals over $250k in TCV.
- Extensive enterprise sales experience generating new sales and cultivating existing accounts.
- The expertise of a seasoned executive with tremendous drive and intelligence who is highly motivated and possesses the ability and desire to make an impact on the future of CTS.
- A minimum of 5 years of executive sales management experience in managed services and/or as-a-service industries.
- Knowledge and experience in managing a highly complex technology sales process is essential.
- Experience in managing enterprise accounts, and growing talent to grow wallet share at customers.
- Must be highly responsive, organized, detail oriented, strong listener, customer oriented and analytical with a global mind-set.
- Must possess executive presence and the ability interact with internal and external C Suite.
- Ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines; outstanding team leadership and team development.
