Telecommunications Technician

TELE CARE, a leading-edge voice and data, networking and security company in Twinsburg, Ohio is looking for a part to full-time telecommunications technician to install, support, and expand solutions for our clients in northeastern Ohio and surrounding areas. This position requires on-call technical support work during business hours and sometimes evenings, weekends and holidays. We seek applicants with experience in commercial cabling, networking, and/or surveillance solutions, but also offer on-the-job training.

Qualifications

· Present a positive and professional business image and attitude.

· Possess understanding of low-voltage cabling principles, computers, networking, security systems, access control, and related equipment, or willingness to learn quickly.

· Be able to troubleshoot on-the-go.

· Keep tools, service vehicles, equipment and parts organized and in working order.

· Communicate successfully in both written and verbal forms.

Requirements

· Must be able to routinely stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl and work in tight spaces such as attics, crawl spaces and basements on a regular basis.

· Must be able to safely lift, carry, climb, and work on folding and extension ladders that weigh 30-80lbs and have a weight capacity of 300lbs. Must also be able to work on/from boom and scissor lifts.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must have high school diploma or GED.

· Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing, and a background check (no felonies accepted).

Compensation

· $18-24/hr commensurate with ability and experience

· Signing bonus opportunity*: $1,000 upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period; additional $1,000 upon 6 months of service; additional $1,000 upon 1 year of service (*bonus opportunities are contingent on the employee having no written disciplinary actions).
