Telecom/Electrical Lineman

Edgar Trent Construction is currently looking for a Telecom/Electrical Lineman to work on a crew primarily tasked with building fiber.

Lead Lineman will receive the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The primary purpose of this position is to operate all line equipment used in construction, maintenance and removal of overhead and under- ground fiber optic lines.
• Monitors Quality Assurance and ensures installations meet customer specification and industry standards
• Ensures safety practices are observed by all crew members during their work

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

• Preferred 2-5 years’ telecom-specific aerial experience.
• Experience working with and installing ADSS fiber optic cable
• Construction safety practices – JSA’s, tail gate meetings, hazard analysis
• Class A CDL strongly preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license with good record to operate company provided vehicle.
• Ability to climb wood poles and provide own climbing gear and tools
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Dependable and trustworthy.
• Ability to look beyond the standard solutions.
• Availability to work and stay out of town
