We are a dynamic, cutting edge telecommunications engineering firm, seeking an experienced CAD Drafter with Telecom, IDDS and Microstation experience. This position is responsible for producing OSP telecommunications engineering drawings and records used and specified by the company.

This is a remote/work from home position with hours of operation in the eastern time zone.


Candidate must have prior Telecom, IDDS and Microstation experience.

What you’ll do…
  • You will complete drawings from engineering sketches
  • You will create working construction drawing using CAD from graphical database records and/or detailed drawings
  • You will post changes to facility record maps and office file drawings
  • You will prepare custom maps and diagrams
  • You will redraw and rescale record maps and drawings

Qualifications:


Who we are looking for…
  • You have high school diploma or equivalent
  • You have minimum of one (1) year experience in outside plant records drafting
  • You have knowledge of computer programs such as Microstation to create scale / unscaled drawings for construction projects
  • You have knowledge in make ready, JPP, Osmose, permits and copper and/or fiber is preferred as these will be the type of jobs drafted for Verizon (Current Verizon systems used regularly, LFIM, GFIM, V-Build, PRS and Venue.)
  • You have knowledge of Smartsheets (preferred).
  • You are able to pay close attention to details and to take direction. Incorporate design requirements and regulations into drawings without leaving any valuable information out of the schematics
  • You have knowledge of PC software package tools, including word processing (i.e Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • You have an understanding of telephone industry standards, plant symbology and terminology with a functional knowledge of PC and OSP record or and/or computer aided drafting systems (e.g. IDDS, Micro WPG or similar – preferred)
