Network Administrator

ISPN is looking to expand its current team by filling a position for a Network Adminstrator. Please see additional specifications about the position below:

Location: Lenexa, KS (flexibility to work from home on a temporary basis + optional scheduled WFH days)
Job Summary
In this role, you will collaborate with other administrators and be responsible for supporting complex network projects internally and for our partners. Our partners are telco and broadband service providers. The position involves remote diagnosis, troubleshooting, and day-to-day administration of equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, Calix, and various vendors as directed by clients. You will also provide technical guidance on key projects and initiatives and propose and implement changes to network equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners via telephone, video conference, and email
- Support complex projects and provide advanced level technical network planning, implementation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services with network design, monitoring, and administration
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Performing disaster recovery and rerouting operations as required.
- Available on-call support as necessary
Requirements and Qualifications
- A strong understanding of networking fundamentals, routers, managed switches, and client software
- One or more industry-standard certifications are a strong plus (CCNA, CCNP
CCIE, CCDP, JNCIA, JNCIP, etc.)
- Comfortable working on a CLI
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) and 4+ years of professional work
experience in a technical support or systems/network administration role
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
- Passionate about new and existing technologies
- Ability to work on projects that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative are required in implementation and problem resolution
The position is full-time salaried, and work will include coordination with clients or peers to perform some tasks during planned overnight or early morning maintenance windows and being on-call to assist, if needed, during unplanned outages.
Expected Salary:
· $50,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
