Role: Build Engineer (FTTP)

Location: Lancashire/Yorkshire/Essex (Multiple Positions)

Salary: £45,000 plus benefits: Van, 25 days holiday, pension

We are looking to recruit multiple Build Engineers who can support a well-known client in the telecoms industry with their full fibre network build programme (Client Side) across the Yorkshire, Essex and Lancashire area.

This will be working for a rapid growth full fibre network who are coming at things with a different slant. You’ll be in with a great chance to set expectation and then drive the work forward for a well-funded infrastructure provider / ISP who will mainly be using PIA.

Reporting to the Regional Delivery Manager, you’ll manage the contract partners and drive operational performance on an FTTP build programme in conjunction and this will extend the full fibre network. The company have a good reputation and the work is high quality, long term and offers plenty of variety as you’ll manage all civils, cabling and splicing/testing activities plus the production of associated in build documentation.

This is FTTP and as such, you’ll likely be a known figure in the industry and come with the ability to act decisively, hit the ground running and own all aspect of civils build and delivery within a client and contractor, NRSWA environment. Ideally, you’ll have a solid knowledge of PIA and network build knowledge for both over ground and underground would be ideal.

The key point is that proven track record in telecoms civils / fibre build, and this is a permanent position working client side. We will be happy to look at those who are ready to step up into the role from previous roles such as: a ganger, site manager etc.

You’ll direct and manage all aspects of performance, and be a strong KPI driven manager who can use the data to assess what is working and what is not, performance wise.

You’ll need to be on the patch through the working week, so that means commuting range across the build areas.
