Artemis IT is a Managed Services Provider based in Melbourne, Florida providing services to clients through out the Central Florida Region. Our team of over 50 professionals work together to deliver on our mission to Make I.T. Work for our clients. As part of our comprehensive services to our clients, we provide installation of low voltage systems such as structured cabling, alarm systems, access control, and cameras.

Candidate will be responsible for installation, termination and testing of structured cable to include Category 5e, Category 6, Coaxial, Fiber Optic and various other low voltage systems. Candidate should be prepared to become familiar with Bicsi Standards for all aspects of data and telecom wiring, grounding, and bonding. Experience with or the ability to learn programmable controllers such as alarm and telephone systems is a plus.

Job Functions

  • Independently and with a team, install cabling in new or existing residential and commercial buildings strictly adhering to Artemis and BICSI installation standards.
  • Termination and testing of new cabling
  • Cable troubleshooting and repair
  • Assemble and install new telecommunications main distribution frames
  • Follow Project Manager instructions on assigned task to assist with cable installations.
  • Work within our ticketing system, monitor tickets and follow up with internal staff or customers as required.

Professional Skills

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Experience in construction site and Alarm systems is a plus
  • Experience and/or education in structured cabling and electronics technologies
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately when interacting with other co-workers and trades
  • Demonstrates the initiative and creativity for self-development
  • Scissor lift operation skills is a plus
  • Ability to adhere to industry safety standards and company policy
  • Basic understanding of computers and Microsoft office applications.

  • Ability to operate a Windows PC
  • Drug-free
  • Ability and willingness to rotate into after-hours “on-call schedule”
  • Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and the ability to work in a construction site on a daily bases.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must have trade tools required to troubleshoot, install, pair test, and terminate category cable as well as basic hand and cordless tools

Opportunity for advancement and consistent hours requires company-provided cross-training as well as self-study to acquire skills in Security/Fire alarm installations as well as PBX installation, troubleshooting, and programming.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
