We provide solutions that create economic, social and environmental value. We are currently recruiting for an OSP Engineer in our Mishawaka, IN office.

The OSP Engineer will be responsible for the design and preparation of drawings for Fiber projects. The OSP Engineer is required to complete operations, such as annotation, GIS data entry, detail selection, plant design, construction maps. The OSP Engineer will work closely with our Design team to design broadband fiber networks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain asset systems data by entering as-built data into systems of record in a timely manner, maintaining layout records on GIS, processing GPS data, preparing and printing detailed drawings.
  • Correct and update design documents as needed.
  • Create and maintain map layers using GIS and other tools as assigned.
  • Convert both digital and paper documents and sources into client specific GIS formats.
  • Develops and/or maintains data to be used within a client GIS.
  • Interpret source documents (such as maps, deeds, legal descriptions, and Right of Ways, etc.) and converts them into a GIS specific format.
  • To accurately complete the design requirements as specified.
  • Review and confirm completion of field revisions/as-built and maintain current print inventory.
  • Quality control of engineering documents.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience required:

  • Associate degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience working with GIS data, ArcGIS, or similar GIS systems a plus.
  • Ability to meet job requirements to achieve deadlines and contribute time needed to do such.
