Embedded Software Engineer(Contract) Rate: £50/hr Outside IR35 Duration: 3- 6 month contract Cambridge nGenium are currently working with a leading medical technology innovator who have an immediate requirement for a skilled embedded software engineer to design and implement embedded code for their latest developments under ISO standards. A suitable candidate will have a proven ability to:

Essential skills, competencies and behaviours-Ability to write system and sub-system requirements for programmable medical electrical systems (PEMS).

More than 3 years coding in C++ in embedded systems for medical devices.

Ability to document and carry out unit and system verification testing with traceability to requirements.

Experience with version control, preferably Git.

Attention to detail.

Effective organisation and priority setting.

Non-essential (preferrable)-More than 5 years’ experience in embedded systems for medical devices.

Experience with Python

Debugging hardware

Experience with ARM

Experience with FreeRTOS,

Experience of implementing FOTA

Knowledge of DSP, FIR, FFR, wavelet denoising

Linux

Experience with IoT/mobile telecoms

Experience of security & encryption in building secure systems

Qualifications & Experience-Sc or higher in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science

Working under ISO 13485 quality system (Desirable)

Working under ISO 14971 and ISO 62304 (Desirable)

Experience of medical device lifecycle process

Experience of design and development of medical devices to EU MDD/MDR and FDA regulatory requirements
