Job Summary:

You are Designer with one to two years of experience in drafting with AutoCAD. You are a goal focused, culture driven member of a non-traditional Engineering and Design Team with opportunities for growth. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail surround you in all you do.

This is a full-time work from home opportunity!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design backhaul networks (outside plant civil structure, fiber networks, pole line design and preparation of permit applications
• Documents production completed in tracking tools provided and reports progress on schedule to the Production Manager
• Updates records, design packages, permits and other required documents in accordance with changes requested by the client or due to field conditions
• Designs and Drafts Permits and Construction prints
• Responsible for accurate, high quality, construction ready Design Packages based on Customer Specifications and project related data supplied by internal/external resources
• Following company standards and procedures related to Health & Safety while performing assigned job duties
• Ensuring schedule deadlines are adhered to and project deliverables are maintained

Qualifications:

• One to two years of experience in a Design capacity using AutoCAD (experience in drafting Utilities and/or a Communications Network such as Telecommunications, Outside Plant or Fiber would be as asset)
• Graduate from a college, university, or technical program (preferably in one of the following areas: civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS, Engineering or Project Management)
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders and interpret their needs
• Working knowledge of construction or telecom documents, drawings, specifications and current construction practices and methodology
• Willingness to contribute actively in team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
