MICROWAVE TOWER TECHNICIAN Tower ~DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all job safety policies are adhered to at all times; including all Fall Safety procedures and 100% tie-off commitment. Conducts Job Safety Meetings daily.
  • Assist the Tower Foreman in planning site activities
  • Supervise the tower crew in execution of the daily safety and work plan in keeping with supervisor direction
  • Lead work on tower ensuring that a quality installation has been performed including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load-hopping, etc
  • Installation of up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRU’s, cabling, bolting, trueing up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and compass, torquing to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc
  • Perform Waveguide, coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installation, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weatherproofing, color-coding, labeling, connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation
  • Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required
  • Assist on overall job on groundwork including all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs
  • Ensure safety and quality control requirements at sites and with crew maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Maintain daily paperwork and compile all site-specific closeout documentation for work effort

MICROWAVE RADIO TECHNICIAN

Reliant Tower is currently seeking experienced Microwave Radio Technicians for our Southern California Markets based in Corona, CA.

Overview:

Acts as a technical contributor within and occasionally outside his or her immediate team. Responsible for staying current in technical theory, application, and operational discipline. Takes on technical and project-related efforts, providing communication as directed. The Technician has a solid understanding of theory and application related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul to sites, signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services, and location-based services. The Technician has a basic understanding of theory and application related to network design, capacity planning, power systems AC/DC, and grounding.

Cell Tower Civil Construction Lead/Foreman

Summary

The role of a Civil (FOREMAN) is to coordinate and oversee activities of workers engaged in construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. The FOREMAN reports directly to the Construction/Project Manager. The FOREMAN determines scope on a daily basis using construction drawings, bid notes, installation technique, troubleshooting, considering the construction/repair of structures and fixtures. Responsible for overseeing two/three man civil crews, troubleshooting, performing repairs, and maintenance on cellular sites, other civil related projects and construction, adhering to schedules developed by the planning department; selects materials and structural units and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance and industry standards, ensures Actual hours do not exceed the Estimated hours; reports all Change Order needs to their Manager. The FOREMAN will also have direct communication with the client’s field personnel via email.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $42.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Microwave Radio/Tower Tech: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Civil Foreman/Ground: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • OSHA 10 (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Test Equipment Certification (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
