As the Analyst, Telecom Billing, you will be responsible for ensuring all telecommunications services invoices are accurate and processed correctly and in a timely manner. Provides appropriate and timely customer support and prioritizes issues based on business impact. Interprets services charge billing, including local, federal, and state taxes, and other industry applicable charges. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Review, analyze and process invoices for telecommunications service
- Resolution of billing errors, discrepancies, and process applications for credits
- Invoice consolidation and account management
- Place and track orders for new service, service failures and service disconnect
- Weekly/monthly cost allocation and analysis
- Budget analysis and departmental cost tracking.
- Interface with accounting and finance teams to determine cost allocations
- Interface with network/telecom team for cost reporting
- Maintain historic billing files
- Compare billing month of month to ensure cost is correct
- Interface with third party vendor payment system and personnel to ensure billing is entered/acted upon in timely manner
- Interface with Business unit managers to provide telecom costing information
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of telecommunications, purchasing, accounts payable or account administration experience
- Appropriate professional experience may be in a broad range of disciplines
- Telephone lines (ISDN/PRI/POTS/DID/Toll free/call center applications and line routing) provisioning and billing; working with telephone carriers and processes (CSR ordering/offerings/disconnects)
It’d be great if you also have:
- Associates degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
- 3 – 5 years telecommunications, purchasing, accounts payable or account administration experience Appropriate professional experience may be in a broad range of disciplines
- Telephone lines (ISDN/PRI/POTS/DID/Toll free/call center applications and line routing) provisioning and billing; working with telephone carriers and processes (CSR ordering/offerings/disconnects)
