The Role

We are looking for a B2B Head Of Business Sales taking a leading role in our Telecommunications business. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, developing trusting client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and defining strategies to address these, along with key client management and contract negotiations leading to successful sales. You will be encouraged to seek new business opportunities through industry contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Building and ensuring good relationships with key internal stakeholders, working collaboratively at all levels.
  • Raising awareness of the value of Swish in a B2B context by actively attending industry fairs and networking
  • Identifying and engaging with companies that are potential clients for Swish, actively utilising market information to guide the team to inform strategy and internal investments
  • Create and execute the sales strategy and work collectively with the Head of Marketing to provide a seamless Sales and Marketing go to market strategy
  • Have a clear strategy for relationship development and account penetration
  • Own the active pipeline management, supporting on the identification of Must Win opportunities to support revenue goals
  • Sustain an advanced knowledge of the Industry and sub sector markets, their key drivers and expected trends
  • Collaborate as a member of the Sales and Marketing Leadership Team, aligning common activity and strategic issues with other areas of the business including through your global industry network
  • Lead the Business Sales team and ensure the team is providing best practice support to both the sector and Industry, to drive campaign excellence and robust pipeline management, through the introduction of powerful Industry based insight
  • Role model best practice sales behaviours across the wider sales capability, including collaborating across and within account portfolios, and supporting pursuit excellence alongside the bids and proposals team
  • KPI and objective setting for team members
  • Regular reporting, insight, and analysis, managing workflow and projects through CRM

Skills Required

  • You will need to be a role model with the ability to coach, develop and inspire junior team members to become highly effective sales specialists
  • Effective management of senior stakeholder relationships and client-focused with strong relationship skills
  • Proven track record in business development, sales and client relationship management – it is essential that you come with an understanding of Tech, (&/or) Telco, gained from having worked in & across the area in your career to date
  • An expert understanding of sales enablement programmes and sales support plus an understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Accomplished sales coach – pursuit experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong project and bid management skills as well as great people management and development skills with experience of managing and developing teams
  • Ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels and influence effectively
  • Extensive, proven experience of leading and motivating a B2B sale team (5-10 people)
  • Proven experience of hitting sales targets and developing team members to do the same
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of creating and activating strategic plans and leading teams is vital.
