Telecommunications Support Specialist

CommuniCare Family of Companies is recruiting an experienced IT professional to assist with maintaining and resolving technical problems for established telephony networks.

The primary responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Assisting end users with issues related to their desk phones, soft phones and voicemail
  • Assist with configurations of call routing within phone systems
  • Assisting with implementing software and hardware upgrades pertaining to our facility phone systems
  • Communicate with vendors when repair tickets are needed for both Telco and Hardware providers.
  • Help facilitate orders of replacement equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality with information being processed, stored, or accessed in the telephony network
  • Document problems and resolutions for future reference
  • Travel expected (90% day trips)
  • Participate in our on-call rotation.

Candidate should have a working knowledge of the following:

  • Microsoft applications
  • IP infrastructure
  • Active Directory
  • Networking concepts including but not limited to: DHCP, DNS, VLANS, Routing Protocols and QOS.
  • VOIP systems such as Mitel Connect, Cisco Unified Communications Manager or other PBX systems.
  • SIP, POTS, PRIs troubleshooting
  • navigating cisco switches routers
  • wireless networks and basic troubleshooting of them.

The position of Telecommunications Support Specialist requires excellent problem-solving skills, and knowledge of administering and maintaining all the relevant technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $47,000.00 per year
