Position: Network Operations Manager

Location: Washington, DC – start onsite and transition into hybrid after a ramp-up period

Terms: 1 year contract to hire

Requirements: Must qualify for a Public Trust Clearance

Compensation: 65-75/hr W2 with benefits

Work Description: Provide program management for the large contract, managing a program with 100+ personnel in an IT environment with over 20,000 end-users across 400+ sites. Provide overall direction of project activities. Manage and maintain Contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization. Consult with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and take the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business.

Required Experience:

· Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions for multiple, complex, and inter-related IT projects with a combined scope of over 10,000 users and 50 sites.

· A broad knowledge of unified communications, network, and telecommunications.

· Experience managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.

· Experience maintaining and managing client interface at senior levels of the client organization.

· Meets with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.

· At least 10 years of related local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) work experience.

· At least 10 years of experience implementing large-scaled projects/systems.

· Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem solving and troubleshooting

· Interact with Hardware and Software vendors to address issues when necessary

· Use escalation standards and personal judgment to ensure timely resolution of problems

· Provide training and support to employees when necessary

· Work On-Call shift rotations with other members of the department when necessary

· Leading technical work including, but not limited, to:

o Deployment and Troubleshooting of network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches

o Deployment and Troubleshooting of Remote Access Solutions (Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco ASA’s, Cisco ISE)

o Deployment and Troubleshooting of security product suite including WSA, StealthWatch, Splunk, and IPS

o Generate Build of Materials, Cost Estimates and Solution recommendations

o Response to cyber incidents as defined in incident response SOPs

o Working with Cisco hardware and software (Cisco Switches, Routers, IOS) (6500’s, 4500’s, 2960’s, 3850’s, Nexus 7000’s, 9300’s, 5525, 4125, ASA’s, FSMs, ISE)

Required Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline preferred, 4 years of additional professional experience can be substituted
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Certification in at least ITIL v3 Foundations certification is strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) strongly preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 – $75.00 per hour
