The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The 7705 SAR Team has locations in Kanata (Ontario), and Westford, MA (USA). We are a team of highly motivated engineers with a passion for building the highest quality routing platform for use by service providers and enterprise applications ( https://networks.nokia.com/products/7705-service-aggregation-router ).
What You Will Learn And Contribute To
We believe in Subject Matter Expertise and code ownership. We keep the process simple, so developers can focus on code. With minimum overhead, developers interact directly with Product Managers, peer designers, and QA. If you are proud of your code, you belong on our team.
Kanata is a primary R&D site for this international team. We have opportunities which may include:
- Data path
- Control plane protocols (IP/MPLS)
- OAM (CFM, EFM, TWAMP, Performance Monitoring)
- Timing (PTP, NTP, SyncE, SETS, BITS, and GN
Your Skills And Experience
- Minimum BS Degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science, equivalent, or better.
- Good working knowledge of C and/or C++.
- Experience in embedded development.
- Demonstrated track record of excellence.
- Hands-on experience with IP routers and/or IP test tools is appealing.
Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
- Aptitude and Attitude are more important than specific experience criteria. If you have strong embedded software skills, you are a candidate for our team.
