Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking Global Engagement Specialist, reporting to the Chief Pilot Global Engagement, America’s region, working out of the Toronto Canada office.
As a Global Engagement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with professionals from across the industry and positively impact safety and operations of Boeing flight operations and those of our customers world-wide.
In this high visibility position, you will interact with pilots, managers, regulators, executives, peers, supporting team personnel, and Subject Matter Experts. This candidate will have good relationship building and excellent communication skills.
This is a non-flying position, aviation medical not required. This position requires the ability to travel domestic & internationally for up-to 50% of the time.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs and professional activities to support flight crew training, standardization, and flight procedures/operational techniques
- Observes customer operations and reviews recommendations on flight operations and procedures; provides technical information to clarify and apply Boeing flight procedures to customer operations
- Assists in development and application of company safety initiatives, strategies that are used in support of continuous accident reduction
- Leads the development, reviews, validation, and standardization of flight-related materials, technical bulletins and procedures; leads coordination with others regarding changes affecting flight operations and safety
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 7+ years of experience with safety reviews
- 5+ years of experience with regulatory affairs
- Hold or have held an FAA ATP or foreign equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office suite & project planning software
- Able to travel domestically & internationally up-to 50% of the time
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Experience with Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Experience with Safety Management System (SMS)
- Experience with Flight data monitoring (FDM/FOQA)
- Experience with Crew Resource Management (CRM)
- Experience with Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS)
- Experienced Technical pilot or Airline pilot with flight time in a Boeing aircraft
- Cultural awareness, sharing the values, ethos and belief in the diversity of our group
Typical Education and Experience:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 12 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
