Qualifications
Must have a reliable vehicle and willing to travel 1-5+ hours from home.
A valid driver’s license is required with a vehicle capable of carrying an 8-foot ladder.
Must be US Citizen and pass a criminal background check
Must be capable of carrying a ladder, lifting boxes, materials, etc.
Must have Basic hand tools for cabling and CCTV.
Experience pulling in copper/fiber, backbone/riser cabling
Ability to terminate all types of fiber, copper and coax.
Experience in Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), IR Bullet/Dome Cameras and Speakers.
Experience in installation of cable conveyances (cable tray, J hooks, ladder rack)
Telecom room buildout experience (racks/cabinets, patch panels, grounding, etc)
Testing experience using Fluke or equivalent test sets for fiber and copper
Ensures grounding and bonding are compliant with applicable standards and codes
Ensures fire stopping procedures are accurately followed
Oversees or assists in testing and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems
Troubleshoots entire communications system to determine if problems are related to hardware or cabling
Tests and evaluates newly installed or existing hardware to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility
Responsibilities
Familiar with a variety of complex installations, repairs telecommunications and video systems and equipment, and performs the following duties:
Able to read and understand network diagrams, floor plans, and design maps.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Will report daily to Project Manager for progress and updates. Project Manager may not always be onsite.
The ability to work independently as well as following specific directions from bridge calls from engineering team and management team to perform specific tasks and be hands and eyes on job sites.
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with little supervision is required.
The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting aggressive deadlines is required.
Must be able to work overnights, weekends and early mornings.
Range of Motion Requirements:
Must have the ability to operate in small areas such as crawl spaces for long periods of time.
Must be able to climb a 20ft ladder.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Overtime

All HAVIS Communication technician are required to following each site/locations PPE and COVID-19 requirements.
