As OSP Planner, you will be assisting our client with the planning of new fiber infrastructure development, as well as scheduling and planning moves, adds, changes and disconnects to existing infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with design of fiber-to-the-home infrastructure.
Assist with maintenance of fiber disconnects, adds and changes in record systems.
Ensure accuracy of fiber records, manage and maintain trace tables and splicing documents.
Perform pre-construction walkouts as necessary to ensure proper application of design and planning efforts.
Review design work as necessary to identify potential challenges.
Approve and provide feedback on OSP change documents submitted by team members.
Decipher and interpret splicing documents, engineer packets and network designs.
Interact with client customers, discussing project requirements, anticipating potential issues, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting challenges as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in fiber design, GIS and fiber-to-the-home planning/construction work.
Experience providing design feedback to customers is highly preferred.
