Your role
As a Server Management Technician, you will have to manage servers, prioritize criteria for managing space usage on hard and removable drives, update server partitions and coordinate system resources to meet user and production needs.
Moreover, you will observe, analyze and make diagnostics with various equipment related to the servers being used. You will be responsible for managing media, priorities and space discs of different partitions, coordinating all the resources pertaining to archives, programming and the various servers in order to respond to the users’ production needs.
You will be asked to respond to various questions from the users and leading them to the right processes. You will need to handle constant pressure pertaining to live programming or tight deadlines.
Please note this is a casual, on-call, part-time opportunity and you will be called to work on different shifts.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
  • College diploma (DEC) in Electronics Technology (Audiovisual, Telecommunications or Computing Systems option) or a relevant field
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience performing related
Skills:
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to show judgment, take initiative and be proactive
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage priorities and multitasks
  • Knowledge of server management tools
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French
  • Knowledge of English is an asset
