Do you want to become one of our global experts in Signaling area? We are now looking for a Senior Solution Architect with competence in Signaling (vDSC, 5G Signaling Controller) who will be responsible for analyzing, designing and developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions based on the customer specifications and business needs. Responsible for short and long-term profitable business for Ericsson by being part of or working closely with the Core 3 team to translate the customer need and technology opportunities into detailed technical offerings, solutions and proposals. Supports the Consultants during requirement analysis and high level design phases.

New Business Area Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) is created to capitalize on the opportunity of the convergence of cloud and services. As our customers deploy 5G, our aim is to accelerate the optimization and automation of increasingly complex networks, by transforming to cloud native software and services. This, in turn, will enable them to provide more competitive services, at a faster pace. Solution Area Core Networks is created to provide a market leading Core Network portfolio with a superior customer experience, generating healthy business for Ericsson.

As Senior Solution Architect in Solution Area Core Networks, you will join best in class experts team in Core Networks portfolio (5GC/packet core, UDM, Voice, Cloud, ..), supporting customer projects as global expert in the Signaling field, working closely with R&D to provide feedback about issues and potential improvements in customer deliveries related to product, as well as working in Industrialization and Automation tracks to secure that the experience in the field is applied when creating and developing our services assets and automation artifacts.

These interesting tasks and activities await you:

• Be responsible for scope, defining and designing solution offerings, driving end-to-end technical solutions
• Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis
• Work with core team on list of potential activities and solutions
• Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with aptitude for delivering high quality documentation
• Support deployment of solution
• Work closely with R&D
• Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing across MAs and SDU
• Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build

You bring the following knowledge and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or validated experience in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field required
• Signaling expertise: minimum 5 years
  • Knowledge of signaling protocols: SS7/MAP, Diameter, HTTP/2
  • Experience with design and deployments of 4G signaling functions: DA, DEA, DRA, SLF, USFW
  • Experience with design and deployments of 5G signaling functions: CSA, SCP, SEPP, BSF
  • Experience with infrastructure variants native, virtual and cloud native (BSP, CEE, VMWare, CNIS, ECCD)
  • Ability to translate scope of work and solution description documents into network design deliverables
  • Clear understanding of the IETF and 3GPP standards
• Experience on driving technical discussions, analyzing & explain technical requirements and problems
• Proven track record in customer projects having customer-facing role
• Ability to work effectively in complex and demanding engagements
• English proficiency, both written and spoken
