Your Next Career Opportunity – Network Security Engineer II
The Network Security Engineer mostly focuses on the onboarding of network and cyber infrastructure, and management and remediation of network infrastructure and cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, as well as, protecting the organization’s computers, data centers, networks and data against threats, security breaches, computer viruses or attacks by cyber-criminals. The Network Security Engineer must have a strong background in information technology, networking, and have a clear understanding of the challenges of information security.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the acceptance and delivery of all projects and tasks related to network systems integration, voice systems integration, cybersecurity, and implementation and testing in remote locations.
- Actively execute project plans for current initiatives including server builds and installation, router and VPN configurations and installation, and security maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair the corporate network, monitor the network and security operations queues, and act on open tickets.
- Management and remediation of network infrastructure, data center, and cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities identified in the environment.
- Enhance the third party patching process through identification and remediation of third party and zero day patch exploits and ensure timely remediation.
- Interact with enterprise stakeholders (i.e. IT Security, GRC, IA, Legal, HR, etc.) as required to help prioritize and remediate network infrastructure and cyber risks and assess compliance status.
- Provide tactical recommendations on improving network, infrastructure and cybersecurity processes and practices to expedite risk remediation efforts.
- Familiarity with network, infrastructure, and cyber tools (i.e. Cisco, Mimecast, Trend, Solar Winds, Kali Linux, Venafi, Qualys, and/or other tools) to identify, exploit and remediate observed vulnerabilities.
- Prioritize and remediate threat indicators of compromise (IOC) and prioritize remediation efforts.
- Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks.
- Build understanding and awareness of network and security issues throughout the organization, must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be a good team player.
- Review configuration and updates to ensure infrastructure and cyber settings are protected.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable measurements and production reporting and policies.
- Work with other teams to manage the proper transition of projects into production.
- Ensure the complete and proactive protection of all corporate data and systems.
- Responsible for the successful execution of the disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
- Inspire excellent service through coaching, leadership on complex issues, inspire group based decision making and insure proper recognition of the contributions made by the staff.
- Required to be on call for support.
- Ensure complete issue tracking, provide feedback, and report results as accomplished.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science and/or Security+, MCSE, CCNP, CCSP, CISSP and CCA preferred;
- and 3-5 years year’s technical experience providing network and security services in support of a medium to large multi-location organization. Current technical expertise in the development and implementation of local and wide area network systems, desktop operations, and related communications infrastructure. Experience working with HP servers in a clustered environment is required. Experience with telecom management from both an administrative and implementation level, including monitoring and reporting.
- Experience with IDAAS solutions (Centrify experience would be preferred).
- Knowledge of network security, i.e. firewalls, network intrusion prevention, vulnerability testing, authentication and encryption.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Citrix, Exchange, Active Directory, HP SAN technology, Microsoft Cluster solutions, HP Primera SAN’s, Project, Visio and network monitoring solutions.
- In-depth experience managing various Microsoft technologies such as O365, Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, Server 20012 R2, Server 2016.
- Experience with hardware and software VPN’s and connectivity.
- Experience working with a VSOC solution provider on day to day to manage the environment and relationship.
- MS Windows AD experience.
- Strong TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, VPN and SNMP knowledge.
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, DS3, Metro Ethernet, T1, DSL, ADSL, and frame connections.
- Experience with MDM solutions.
- Cisco FTD firewalls and Cisco Nexus, ACI switches preferred.
- Experience with F5 Big-IP is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cisco VOIP is preferred.
- Experience with SIEM (Splunk) technologies is preferred.
- Experience with various advanced threat protection technologies is preferred.
- Experience with patching servers, switches, routers and firewalls is preferred.
- Domestic Travel 10% of the time
- Valid Government Issued Driver’s License
