ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager position responsible for the full life cycle project management including design, procurement, planning, construction and close out of the New York City Subway Wireless Network and other assigned projects.
The Project Manager shall possess relevant project management, subcontractor and construction management experience on projects of a similar nature, size and complexity. A detailed resume must include a description of previous duties, responsibilities and accomplishments for the previous five-year period which will validate a candidate’s relevant experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling
- Build fully detailed project construction and station commissioning schedule, inclusive of all Transit Wireless duties/disciplines required to drive project(s) to timely completion
- Establish, schedule, coordinate and administer all project review meetings, both internally and with relevant external organizations (i.e. NYCT; Contractors; Suppliers; NYC Agencies; Wireless Carriers)
- Ensure any/all actions are executed to secure timely and high quality completion of project construction, station approvals and commissioning
Construction Management
- Establish detailed pre-construction requirement packages, with support from relevant team members, including schedule requirements; design/documentation collateral; permit requirements; approval requirements; supplier & contractor agreements; other as required
- Establish detailed post-construction close-out approval package, with support from relevant team members, including: as-built drawings; fixed asset identification/tagging inventory; maintenance plans & schedule; satisfactory RF and Fiber Cable Sweep reports; NYCT approval documentation; Carrier approval documentation; other as required
- Manage all field construction aspects, contractor performance, adherence to schedules, adherence to cost/price agreements
- Coordinate, via project scheduler, timely delivery of all supply chain items/actions
Quality
- Manage Quality Manager and associated requirements to the highest standards, including but not limited to: supporting design approvals; supplier approvals; equipment approvals; workmanship and installation; meeting NYCT, NYC agency and/or carrier requirements;
- Identify and craft all relevant quality documentation requirements in support of above, test and qualification plans, performance certifications, etc.
- Ensure all pre-construction and post construction packages contain comprehensive quality controls/approvals/documentations
- Cross functional support of team on all related Quality approval/management requirements
Project Management
- Utilizing company ERP system as appropriate, establish, implement, and maintain and a detailed project cost control and reporting system
- Cost system to include detailed BOM and labor hour/rate breakdowns by station, phase, with a view of the total project cost performance. These cost details should be detailed via a budget versus actual comparison, segmented by major construction component
- Establish business processes to secure budget details, system formats, reporting formats and semi-automated loading of relevant purchase orders; invoices; etc. coded accordingly.
- Ensure cost controls are secured across our business processes; provide relevant monthly/quarterly management reporting and business review collateral.
- Initiate and participate in value engineering design/construction opportunities
Key Performance Measures
- Works with the Program Manager & Stakeholders to ensure objectives and requirements are clearly understood and represented
- Project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction)
- Work closely with all levels of TW management & support staff
- Lead and direct the Project team
- Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering and or an equivalent field, Master’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience, related industries
- Primavera
- PMP certification required
- Telecom industry experience
- Command excellent organizational & communications skills.
- Ability to interact with all facets of the Company structure.
- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Project software’s.
- New York City Transit experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $158,000.00 – $202,000.00 per year
